The Occultist's inconsistent heals can be mitigated by the use of +healing trinkets (e.g. The Vestal is, in my opinion, the superior healer due to her consistency and her group heal, which can get multiple targets off Death's Door or top up the whole party. In short, the Leper is only a better option when you are guaranteed to have consistent front-row targets you want dead quickly, which is often restricted to certain boss-fights or very specific trash-encounters such as quad-spiders etc. Crusader also has the same issue, yet this is less problematic due to above mentioned alternatives he provides. In addition, this damage is unreliable unless you first remedy his accuracy problem first (be it trinkets, self-buff or camping skills). The problem with this is it's only usable on R1&2, wheras priority targets are typically in R3 and R4.

Leper excels vs the Crusader in only one way - highest up-front damage in the game. Leper can only heal/stress-heal himself.Ĭrusader can serve as an off-heal if required.īoth are relgious, so they're equal here.īoth have limited backrank potential in their optimal positions, so they're equal here.īoth have impressive healthpools, so they're equal here. Leper has no control at all aside from a pushback.Ĭrusader can assist with stress-heals for the party - an ability which can also negate DDoor. Leper has neither a shuffle-response nor any backrank damage of note.Ĭrusader has a stun to assist with recovery. Their only problem is being slow, and the leper is slow as well.Ĭrusader is the better option across the board.Ī shuffled Crusader has two potential options (one of which can attack the back ranks). A Quad-Crusader can just destroy everything if well setup. I am a little noobie so the thing I am gonna ask can be silly but isn't grave robber enough for back damage? and if I level up hellion should I go for vestal doctor robber hellion? You may want to consider leveling a hellion as another front line option. Note that neither the leper nor the crusader have any options for attacking the back rows, which will make them poor choices for fights like the hag. I find the leper also does well against enemies in the warrens. You'll probably do better with the leper if you're going up against any boss, with the exception of the necromancer. The leper, on the other hand, is a much better choice for massive single target damage. His heal and stun abilities also give him a great deal of versatility, but you're already getting great heal and stun options from the vestal in your party.

That dude seems underrated by many.īut you may take the Leper as well if you wish, he just does the same things in a bit different way. Im not saying the Leper sucks but i just wanted to praise the Crusader a little. Not to forget that the Crusader can either stun or heal your party quite effectively if needed, while Leper only cares about himself.Īll in all the Crusader brings alot more flexibilty to your team and since your vestal should be switching in Position 2 and 3 ( because of the Grave Robber ) the Crusader can help with the healing while tanking the damage of your vestal away until the backline is destroyed by PD and GR. The lack of ACC of the Leper can easily be buffed but the same trinkets could be given to the Crusader aswell, making him a really good Damage dealer aswell. When it comes to positioning the crusader is also way more flexible and can get himself out of the back or atleast keep stresshealing your team, while Leper is just doomed. He can easily gain alot of PROT in one round and keep it up for the whole fight, while the Leper needs to reactivate his PROT ability and it is less effective anyway with that. I would definitely bring a crusader here.
